Each Tuesday evening we hold a Bible study at one of our members' homes. Sometimes we spend time studying God's Word, other times we spend time praying for one another, sharing our hearts and concerns. Because we have so many from different Christian backgrounds, we do not necessarily ascribe to any particular set of theology or way of looking at Scripture. We do, however, have a high regard for Scripture and are open to dialoging about issues raised or concerning the group. We also may share and experience different worship styles. Therefore, we try our best to embrace the diversity of our members and to honor our various Christian heritages and backgrounds. Current study series: Right now, we are walking through the Bible passages that are often used against GLBT people. The book is helping us see the big picture and how to cope with those who would misuse the Bible. If you would like to suggest ideas for future study topics, contact us. The first Tuesday of every month is fellowship dinner night. We spend an evening together dining at an affordable, local Pasadena establishment. We chat, pray, have fun together as brothers and sisters in Christ in a much less formal atmosphere. This is a good way to meet new friends and to develop relationships. Every month or so, we have a planned social event or potluck. For more information, sign up for our newsletter. This may include activities with other EC chapters in the area or just EC Pasadena at large. |
